Stunning Spring Wedding at Wortley Hall, Sheffield
February 20, 2016Michael and Stephanie are such a lovely couple who came across my work after a close family member recommended me after seeing images from another wedding I had captured.
After meeting up with the couple to showcase some of my albums, I was thrilled when they made their decision to ask me to capture their very special day.
The chosen location for their wedding was Wortley Hall, located just North of Sheffield. A stunning manor house with centuries of history. It is surrounded by extensive landscaped gardens which we made full use of these on the day.
Stephanie looked sensational in her classic fitted gown with a stunning train. She also commissioned a pair of custom designed pale pink stiletto’s completing the look. She was the embodiment of elegance. The pale pink colour scheme was echoed throughout the day, with the bridesmaids gowns, flowers and the details worn by Michael and his Groomsmen, including their fabulous bow ties.
After their civil ceremony the couple were congratulated by their guests before some formal group shots were captured on the steps outside the hall. We then had the beautiful gardens to explore whilst capturing their couple shots. Thanks must go to their very helpful groomsman who carried several umbrellas (just in case), my bag and the bride’s flowers. He was a star on the day.
The weather forecast prior to their wedding day had not been good, however we were so lucky and as we walked back towards the Hall in readiness for their wedding breakfast the rain started to fall, but it by this stage of the day it really didn’t matter as we had it nailed and the remainder of the day was to be celebrations with their guests indoors.
That said I did asked the couple if they would be happy for a few shots as dusk fell outdoors and despite the rain, which was coming down heavy by now they were more than happy to put their trust in me and the shots were certainly worth it.
Congratulations to the happy couple and thank you for asking me to share your day with you.
