My first DSLR camera was purchased with the sole intention of capturing some quality family photographs; and with two young boys it was essential to document as much as possible whilst they raced through childhood. Little did I realise my first camera would soon lead me into the world of professional wedding photography.

12 years later and my boys are almost men and I am still here with the same passion and flair for my work.

I've always derived great pleasure from creating things and making others happy in the process, so maybe it was my destiny to find myself here, making beautiful images and capturing the true emotions of real weddings.

It is the ultimate honour for me!  Who wouldn't love being around people who are celebrating one of the happiest days of their lives?

A graphic designer for many years, I was blessed with a natural creative flair, including a keen eye for detail and composition, because of this the transition into photography was pretty straightforward, however learning the technical was initially a little more complicated

My first venture into the world of wedding photography was a baptism of fire. A colleague asked me to capture her daughter's wedding. Thinking I would jump at the chance she was surprised at my hesitance. I was all too aware of the pressures of wedding photography and wasn't sure if I could meet the rigorous demands, however after some persuasion I opted to give it a go. I photographed the wedding, survived and surprisingly enjoyed the experience, but best of all the couple were delighted with the images. I was on such a high after that and from then on the possibility I could actually become a photographer was born.

Since that first experience I have gone on to capture many more weddings (almost 500 now).  Initially alongside other established photographers whilst I up skilled, but now I am so happy and have my own successful business, having developed the skills necessary to succeed.

I describe myself as a Lifestyle Photographer, meaning I document the natural moments, but providing a little guidance and support to ensure some moments will happen when otherwise they may missed.  I also have a love of details, so all those special 'things' you have spent so much time sorting will also be captured.

I also find that my easy going and calming personality, along with a relaxed and nurturing approach helps couples feel relaxed and at ease in front of my camera. 

The most valued compliments are from the people I have worked with. I am always humbled to discover that past couples and venues have gone on to recommended me, resulting in further bookings; this is how I get most of my work. 

I could spend hundreds of pounds on marketing, but a recommendation is priceless and because I never ask this of my couples, it is even more humbling to learn that they have done so based on their own personal experiences.

I am not about the hard sell or the up sell. Honesty and transparency are key to building a mutual trust and you will always know what you are getting and more importantly what it will cost.

It's simple really. I am passionate about what I do, I love people and I love taking beautiful photographs. I will capture those special and glued memories, ensuring they are cherished forever.
