Thornbridge Hall Stunning Wedding Day celebrations in Derbyshire

When I was asked to capture the wedding of James and Laura who had booked their wedding celebrations at Thornbridge Hall I was over the moon to be selected as it is one of my very favourite wedding locations.

On the morning of their wedding I arrived to Laura’s parent’s home in a beautiful suburb of Sheffield to capture bridal preparations ahead of the ceremony at the Holy Trinity Church, Millhouses.

Somewhere nearby James and his Groom’s party were preparing for their day with a few jars at The Robin Hood, before walking over to the church to greet their arriving guests.

Fortunately on this occasion the couple had opted for two photographers meaning both Bride and Groom’s preparations were documented separately right up until the ceremony.

After the traditional ceremony the couple spent some time outside the church chatting to their friends and family who were waiting to congratulate the newlyweds.

On route to Thornbridge Hall we detoured into the stunning Peak District to capture some couple shots before rejoining their guests who were already at the venue after being driven together on their private charter double decker bus.

The speech made by their Best Man Sam took the form of an interactive quiz show with guests answering questions. It was very entertaining and there was no shortage of natural reactions to capture.

It really was a stunning wedding day and James and Laura were the perfect couple.

I am delighted to share the story of their day.

Many congratulations.
