Hazel Gap Barn Wedding For Alex & Amy

April is a very popular month to get married and often marks the beginning of a very busy wedding season for me.

In 2019 I captured the April wedding of Alexander and Amy.  It was a magical day in every sense, a delightful couple, a fabulous wedding party, some talented suppliers and one of the best wedding venues around.

The wedding preparations began for the couple at Sherwood Pines. Both families had rented neighbouring lodges on the estate which included hot tubs and connecting treehouses!

There were two photographers for this wedding, as couples are often looking for the most comprehensive coverage on their big day.  I advise every couple consider this option.

I joined the Bride to be Amy, her immediate family and Bridesmaids.  The Groom, his Groomsmen and family were attended by the second photographer in the lodge next door.

As is always the case, prep was over all too soon and Amy was ready to depart for Hazel Gap.  Alex had already arrived earlier to greet guests and was now awaiting the arrival of his beautiful Bride.

Hazel Gap Barn is stunning. A rustic barn setting with the addition of contemporary features sets this venue apart from anything else in the area and I know exactly why it was the choice for Alex and Amy.

Amy’s father walked her down the isle and in front of their closest family and friends the couple exchanged their vows, readings and wedding rings.

After the ceremony guests showered the newlyweds with fresh petal confetti, and joined them for drinks and canapés whilst mingling in the warm sunshine.

The wedding breakfast was soon ready and guests were treated to a fabulous feast and waited on by the staff at Hazel Gap Barn.

This was followed by some very entertaining speeches with much laughter and some happy tears too.

The April sun was starting to drop as the fire pits were lit and guests toasted marshmallows and tucked into the array of sweet treats, including a fabulous cookie wall.

Evening guests were soon arriving and the couple cut their cake before taking to the dance floor for a fabulously choreographed dance which delighted their guests.

Before I left there was time for a few more photographs, including a fun sparkler exit.

It was such a perfect wedding day and Alex and Amy were so accommodating, making us both feel incredibly welcome and ensuring we had time to get some fabulous memories captured.
