Classic Wedding Day Elegance at Casa Hotel Chesterfield

I have known Marie and her family for many years and Marie even cared for my youngest son whilst he was at nursery, therefore I was totally honoured when I was asked to capture her wedding to Martin at Casa Hotel in Chesterfield.

The wedding has been in my diary for quite some time and I have to personally thank the couple for their support and loyalty during the lead up to their big day.

On the morning of the wedding I arrived early to capture Marie, her Mum, Michelle and bridesmaids having hair and make up at NJUK salon in Clowne.  The standard of their work is superb and they also have a bespoke area of the salon, away from the public where brides can be pampered and preened. Once the ladies were ready it was then back to Michelle’s house where they were to complete getting ready.

Outside on the driveway Cali was parked.  Cali is a beautiful example of a classic VW camper van, supplied by a wonderful company called ’All Luv’Dub’.  I have had the pleasure of working with them and their vehicles before and on this occasion, just as previously the camper was immaculate and beautifully adorned in the lilac coloured ribbon chosen by Marie.  The bridesmaids, including the couples daughter Olivia were eager to climb inside for a few photographs.

Over at the hotel Martin and his best man Lloyd were enjoying a drink or two at the Barca Bar inside the hotel and soon it was time for Martin and his guests to be ushered into the ceremony room and await  Marie’s arrival.

The civil ceremony was very emotional, especially for the couple’s daughter who was overcome. There was also a reading from Marie’s best friend Kirsty.

After the ceremony the guests enjoyed celebratory champagne before joining me at the front of the hotel for some group shots and the traditional throwing of confetti.

The couple had requested a ride in Cali and en route we headed to a nearby park to capture some quick shots, including several with the camper herself.  It was then back on the road before joining their awaiting guests back at the hotel.

The speeches followed the Wedding Breakfast and whilst the room was being changed around for the evening reception there was time to capture the Bride and Groom out on the balcony of their bridal suite.

The evening guests soon began to arrive and there was a further opportunity to capture the couple in the stunning hotel’s entrance before they left to greet their guests

The first dance followed the cutting of the cake and the couple were soon joined on the dance-floor by their guests, including Olivia and Maisie who were adorable as they danced together beside the bride and groom.  We had one final shot to capture before we left which was the dramatic kiss outside the front of the hotel. We then left the bride and groom to party into the night with their guest after a wonderful day.

Congratulations to Martin and Marie and every happiness for your future together from Marie Anson Photography.
