The most amazing shoes I captured in 2016 belonged to the beautiful Aisling! In fact everything that Aisling and Chris had chosen for their wedding day oozed style, sophistication and class. It was an absolutely stunning wedding and one that I am thrilled to share in this blog.

The morning was a very relaxed affair for me with the Bride, her Bridesmaids and flower girls preparing at the couple’s home. Across town, Chris and his Groom’s party were starting the morning at his parents’ house and were being looked after by my second photographer Shane.

The ceremony took place at St Thomas’ Church in Ilkeston which was a fabulous bright church with a superb balcony which allowed some fabulous shots from a completely different perspective, one we don’t get very often. The ceremony was very relaxed and we were able to get some great shots of their vow exchanges.

Afterwards the couple provided their guests with a huge basket of dried petals which ensured we captured on of the best confetti shots of the year.

The wedding celebrations were a short drive away at Swancar Farm, which is an incredible rustic barn hotel on the outskirts of Nottingham and was the perfect setting on this stunning September day.

Accompanied by the beautiful music from the harpist, guest were treated to a fabulous roast dinner will all the trimmings before their glasses were charged in readiness for some very emotional speeches.

I need to make a special mention of the cake table which was a work of art by itself and perfectly framed their naked tiered cake which was dressed with a stunning array of fresh flowers. and a personalised topper.

Whilst the guests relaxed in the ambience of their stunning surroundings, the band were setting up and outside a superb magician worked his magic to the delight of the young and old. Soon everyone was back inside for the couple’s first dance, which as I recall was a non conventional choice, but one of their personal favourites, going to show you really can have what you want. The enthusiasm of their guests to join them on the dance floor ensured we captured some great dance/party shots before guests then joined the newlyweds outdoors for a sparkle exit.
