As with many weddings, I often get recommendations from happy couples we have previously captured, or from guests who have seen me at work. This was the case with Michelle and Andy, who I had met previously at the wedding of Michelle’s best friend Emma. It was a day that I was very much looking forward to capturing.

The day started early at Michelle’s Mum’s house, where the bridal party were getting ready. The mood was very relaxed as hair was styled and make up applied. The colour scheme for the day was the most fabulous shade of coral. The bride’s classic bouquet was accented with tiny coral flowers set between cream roses with crystal jewelled centres. The stunning colour also looked fabulous on the bridesmaids, who wore elegant knee length dresses and matching coral shoes. Michelle’s dress was exquisite with full lace detail, fitted and floor length, accentuating her fabulous figure. I always pay particular attention to the bride’s shoes and I was not disappointed. They were fabulously striking, with studded detailing on the heel, a bold statement and simply wow!

Andy and the Groom’s party arrived at St Paul’s Church, Hasland in plenty of time to greet guests as they were arriving. There was also time to capture some photographs before he disappeared into the church. The bridesmaids were next to arrive, followed by Michelle and her very proud Father.

After the traditional ceremony the guests made their way outside to shower the happy couple in confetti before setting off to the Fox and Goose Inn to begin their wedding celebrations.

The function suite at The Fox and Goose Inn, Wigley was dressed with beautiful coral chair sashes and each table was named after a destination that Michelle and Andy had visited whilst together. the top table was suitably named after their honeymoon location in Mexico, soon to be visited.

The groups shots were quickly taken and then it was time to capture with the newlyweds.

Back indoors after the guests had eaten and the champagne poured it was time for the speeches, which proved to be very emotional, particularly when Andy stood up to speak. Michelle also had a few words to share with everyone and there were very few dry eyes in the room.

The venue was soon at capacity as the evenings guests arrived in plenty of time to witness the couple cutting the cake, followed afterwards by their first dance. The dance floor soon filled up as guests partied on into the early hours. A fantastic evening to end the perfect day.

Congratulations to Michelle and Andy from Marie Anson Photography.
